French Parliament on NYT - UK business report on migration to Ubuntu

Printer-friendly versionSend to friend

Great blog entry in the New-York times:

"If the French National Assembly gets its way, the open-source Linux operating system will take over the governments of Europe, seizing on a weak economy to displace Windows."

This is a follow up to their article last week where Mark announced that we were close to break even at $30M.

Another interesting piece of information is the announce made by Mercian Labels , a UK business, that they comleted their floor to ceiling migration to FLOSS, using Ubuntu on their desktop and servers. Read back in their blog entry to understand how they did it.
